Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island to Open Third Retail Store, Add Weekend Call Center Hours

PROVIDENCE, RI – Blue Cross Blue & Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) announced today that it is opening a third location of its retail store, Your Blue Store, in Lincoln. Along with creating an additional retail option to provide customers greater choice and convenience in planning and managing their health coverage, BCBSRI will also extend its customer service center hours to provide weekend service.  To help simplify the experience, BCBSRI will provide additional service options for shoppers leading up to the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period and open enrollment deadlines.

Since January 2015, more than 10,550 Rhode Islanders have visited Your Blue Store retail locations in Warwick and Bristol to choose a health plan, explore Medicare options, ask questions about or make payments on a current plan, or take advantage of free fitness and nutrition programming. Ninety-six percent of Your Blue Store visitors report being satisfied with their store experience and would recommend the store to a friend or family member. For Rhode Islanders who prefer to manage their health coverage by phone, BCBSRI’s Customer Service Department will now be available to members on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Customer service staff members are bilingual and can answer questions about plan options, costs, physician networks and wellness benefits, as well as help individuals sign up for coverage. The newest Your Blue Store Lincoln is located at 622 George Washington Highway, Ste. A-06. BCBSRI will be celebrating the store’s opening on October 19 with a formal ribbon cutting.
