A Special Evening Benefiting Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Scrabble Ball Set for Saturday, March 7

PROVIDENCE, RI – On Saturday, March 7, the community is invited to join leadership and physicians of Hasbro Children’s Hospital, as well as the hospital’s friends and supporters, for the 2015 Hasbro Children’s Hospital Scrabble Ball. The special evening, which raises critical funds for the area’s leading pediatric institution, will be held at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

Hosted by Sirius XM “70s on 7” midday personality, Jay Beau Jones, the event begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres, followed by welcoming remarks by Hasbro Children’s Hospital leadership in the Ballroom at 7:00 p.m. The evening continues with dinner and a Live Auction at 7:30 p.m. A special performance by The Spinners will take place at 10:00 p.m., followed by dessert and dancing to the fabulous music mixes of DJ Twalle until midnight.

As the headline performers, The Spinners are a legendary R&B group with universal appeal that stakes claim to twelve Gold records and an impressive catalog of timeless hits. Backed by a soul-infused 5-piece band, The Spinners will perform some of their best-known chart-toppers, such as “Working My Way Back to You,” and “Rubberband Man.”

Proceeds from the 2015 Scrabble Ball will benefit patient care, research and education at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, helping the hospital to provide the very best care to its patients and families.
