$5,000 “Express” Training Grants Available for Businesses

Matching funds for incumbent worker training are awarded monthly. The Governor’s Workforce Board is pleased to announce that funding is available for “Express” Incumbent Worker Training Grants to support the competitiveness and growth of Rhode Island businesses. Eligible employers may apply for up to $5,000 in matching funds to invest in incumbent worker training that builds and retains a high-skilled, high-performance workforce. Grant proposals can be submitted on-line and will be reviewed on a monthly basis. Click here to apply.

About the Governor’s Workforce Board Rhode Island

The Governor’s Workforce Board is the primary policy-making board for Rhode Island workforce development. Since its inception in 2005, the board has invested more than $63 million in initiatives that improve the existing skill base of the workforce and anticipate the future needs of growing and emerging businesses.
