United Methodist Elder Care Hires Edward Herrmann

East Providence, RI – United Methodist Elder Care is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Edward Herrmann as the Administrator of Linn Health Care Center.

Herrmann comes to Linn Health Care Center with sixteen years of elder care management experience having previously worked as Executive Director of the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleboro, Massachusetts and the Administrator of the Scandinavian Home in Cranston, Rhode Island.  Herrmann gained his management skills while employed at Elizabeth Arden in New York City and the Wilkes Group in New York City before moving to the Rhode Island area.

Hermann earned a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Boston College and has been a trustee on the board of LeadingAge Massachusetts since 2007.  LeadingAge is the national professional organization for nursing home and assisted living home professionals. In addition, he serves as an Advisory Trustee for Renaissance Technology.

Ed Herrmann is a 23 year resident of Duxbury, where he resides with his wife, Maureen, and where they raised their two sons and one daughter.

United Methodist Eldercare offers affordable senior housing and a continuum of care consisting of Winslow Gardens, an independent and assisted living community located in East Providence, Linn Health Care Center, a nursing facility in East Providence and Arbor Hill Assisted Living in Providence on Federal Hill.
