Mount Saint Charles Academy Presents “Lessons and Carols” at Precious Blood Church

WOONSOCKET, RI – Mount Saint Charles Academy will present “A Service of Lessons and Carols” on December 14, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Precious Blood Church in Woonsocket, RI.  This service of prayer and song will feature a series of readings that tell the story of Christmas based on an Advent theme. Between each reading, music will be performed by the Academy’s wind ensemble, hand bell choir, faculty choir, and Mount’s junior and senior high choir. There will also be liturgical dances performed by the students in Mount’s dance program.

“Lessons & Carols” has become a yearly tradition that fills the church with more than 150 participants and an audience of 1,000 people celebrating the season. Mount’s very first “Lessons & Carols” was held in 1999 at Our Lady of Victories.  It has also been held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, and at Mount. Since 2006, “Lessons & Carols” has been held at Precious Blood Church.
