LIFEcycle, Inc. Announces Additional Sponsors and Partnership for 6th Annual Ride ‘Round Rhody Bike-A-Thon

PROVIDENCE, RILIFEcycle, Inc., a Rhode Island-based non-profit that promotes healthy, active living and supports local cancer treatment, is pleased to announce additional sponsors and a collaborative partnership for the 6th annual Ride ‘Round Rhody (RRR) bike-a-thon taking place Sunday, August 10th at Bryant University to raise money for local cancer treatment. To date, LIFEcycle, Inc. has raised more than $240,000 towards the fight against cancer. Sponsorship opportunities are still available at all levels. LIFEcycle, Inc. is excited to announce its partnership with Pawtucket-based Shri Service Corps, a local non-profit which provides Shri Studio yoga outreach and character building programs free of charge to schools, shelters and community centers and whose mission aligns with LIFEcycle, Inc. The organization will provide a complimentary yoga class the day of RRR for cyclists, volunteers and spectators. Shri will also serve Shri Bark snacks for riders and provide other wellness services in the year ahead to support the cause.

Newly-added sponsors for RRR include:Body Soul Inspired Training,Cycle For Unity, Foundation Performance Sports Medicine, Marc Allen Fine Clothiers, , NBX Bikes, Rudy Project , Tri New England, and WPRI-TV. Existing sponsorsinclude: Mojotech, Regan Communications Group, Brier & Brier, Providence Business News, BComm, Dimeo Construction, Gracie’s, NorthMain Radiation Oncology and LGCD.

RRR continues to increase in size and impact since its inaugural event in 2009. The annual bike-a-thon has attracted more than 500 cyclists riding between 25 and 75 miles in one day with nearly 250 volunteers participating. Donations raised are distributed to local hospitals to provide cancer treatment services, including clinical trials. In 2013, LIFEcycle, Inc. announced the Rhode to $1 Million; a goal to raise $1,000,000 for cancer treatment in Rhode Island by the 10th RRR.
