James Wright named to Rhode Island Foundation’s Board of Directors

The CEO of North Kingstown-based IT staffing company Bridge Technical Talent joins Rhode Island’s largest community foundation

PROVIDENCE, RI –James Wright has been named to the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Foundation. As the state’s largest funder of nonprofit organizations, the Foundation awarded $43 million in grants in Rhode Island last year.

As CEO of Bridge Technical Talent, Wright is responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing operations for the North Kingstown-based IT staffing firm.

Prior to co-founding Bridge in 2002, Wright spent 13 years in Silicon Valley where he was head of HR and Recruiting at ThinkLink, a communications and technology startup; co-founded Encore Technical Staffing and worked in senior roles at Advanced Technology Staffing.

Wright serves on the board of BankNewport, where he chairs the Risk Management Committee; and at the committee level with the Newport Hospital Foundation and the Governor’s Digital Media Group. He is also a member of the Rhode Island Commodores.

He serves on the Rhode Island Foundation’s Finance Committee and is a past chair of the Foundation’s Newport County Fund. He was formerly a member of the board of the Jamestown Historical Society.

Wright earned a B.A. at Vassar College, where he serves as an alumni interviewer; and a master’s at San Francisco State University. He lives in Jamestown with his wife, daughter and twin boys.
