Home Healthsmith Selected as Exclusive Provider for State’s Leading Trade Association

PORTSMOUTH, RI – The Rhode Island Partnership for Home Care recently selected Home Healthsmith as the exclusive provider for accessibility products and services to their members and clients. The Rhode Island Partnership for Home Care (RIPHC) is the statewide trade association for organizations and individuals who provide or promote health care and supportive services in the home. Home Healthsmith, a local, family-owned business, provides many products and services that enable older or physically challenged people to enjoy their homes longer to maintain their level of comfort without compromising health and safety.

Upon announcing this selection, Nicholas A. Oliver, MPA, CAE, RIPHC Executive Director, stated, “RIPHC has entered into a partnership with Home Healthsmith to help patients and clients of our member agencies continue to live safely and independently in their homes. I encourage all of my member agency executives to learn more about this dynamic company and the products and services that Home Healthsmith provides to complement the quality home health care service delivery of our member home care and hospice agencies.”

Linda Bohmbach, Vice President of Home Healthsmith commented, “We are extremely pleased that RIPHC chose to support our efforts and we look forward to working with this outstanding organization that has high standards of patient care and integrity in business practices.”

The role of RIPHC is to provide a unified voice in the promotion of standards of excellence in home care and hospice services and to advance the position of home care as an integral component of Rhode Island’s acute care and long term care health system. Founded in 1990 to encourage the development and delivery of quality home care and hospice services throughout the state of RI, the Partnership now represents over 40 organizational members and additional associate, supporting and individual members.

Home Healthsmith offers complete solutions that ensure a home functions in a way that reflects the occupants’ changing needs to preserve their independence. The first step is a SafeHome Audit, an in-home review and discussion of your personal goals and home upgrade possibilities. The second step in the program is a SafeHome Install when the home and safety mobility upgrades are completed. The SafeHome Advantage protects Home Healthsmith’s clients’ safety and mobility year round. Every four months a technician looks at everything from loose cabinet handles to faulty light switches.
