Home Healthsmith Expands Facility and Adds Staff

PORTSMOUTH, RI – Home Healthsmith, the Portsmouth, Rhode Island based company that helps people live safely in their homes longer, recently leased additional space for assembly and storage of their home safety equipment. The Middletown location in the Aquidneck Corporate Park provides easy access for their principal client base.

About this expansion, Home Healthsmith’s owner and president, Bill Bohmbach said, “The time had come to rent a dedicated space for storing and assembling our new and used inventory of stairlifts, ramps, and more. This will enable us to fulfill our client’s needs more efficiently.”

Also, Robie Pierce has joined the Home Healthsmith team as Sales Administrator. Robie will be identifying new markets and introducing the company’s home safety equipment and services within them. He will also work to expand growth with staffing, sales goals, business plans, sales & marketing budgets, capital requirements and more.

Upon his appointment, Robie commented, “I am pleased to help Home Healthsmith bring their fresh and professional approach with service and safety to the “aging in place” population.

Robie brings over 30 years of experience in sales and development management including a 20 year association with the world of disability. He founded and worked as Sailing, Development, and Event Director at Shake-A-Leg for 17 years. This world-renowned Newport based organization created sailing programs for people with a variety of disabilities. Robie also wrote the Accessibility Guidelines for Rhode Island’s Tall Ship, Oliver Perry, now under construction and expected to launch in 2014.
