Grow Smart to Recognize those Shaping a Stronger RI

PROVIDENCE, RI — There is no better way to promote the many economic and community development benefits of smart growth than to profile examples of success. With that being said, Grow Smart RI is issuing a last Call for Nominations for its 4th Annual Rhode Island Smart Growth Awards.
“Each year, passionate, creative, and resourceful Rhode Islanders show us the way through projects,plans, and policies that play to Rhode Island’s strengths,” stated Scott Wolf, Grow Smart RI’s Executive Director. “In the process, they’re generating enduring and sustainable economic benefits that improve communities and neighborhoods.”
Nominations for the 2015 Rhode Island Smart Growth Awards are being accepted in the following categories until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27:
· Smart Growth Leadership Award (individual or organization)
· Outstanding Smart Growth Project Award
· Public Policy and Planning Award
The 2015 Rhode Island Smart Growth Awards Program and Reception will take place in mid-May at theProvidence G and the historic Arcade in downtown Providence.
