Former Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin Joins International Consulting Practice InterActive Global Solutions

Washington, D.C.- InterActive Global Solutions LLC (IGS) is proud to add former Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Kilmartin to its team as Senior Policy Advisor. In this role and effective immediately, Kilmartin will deepen IGS’ expertise and scope of services for clients in emerging markets.

“Our clients, including those in developing nations, rely on our guidance to help them maintain regulatory compliance as well as to address rule of law in their external operating environments. Peter’s experience as an attorney general will help broaden our firm’s core offerings to clients in emerging markets,” said Fred Niehaus, IGS managing partner. “He also brings expertise in consumer affairs and cybersecurity, which are key areas of interest to companies as well as existing clients.”

In addition to serving two terms as Rhode Island’s Attorney General where he oversaw a team of 237, Kilmartin’s longstanding and distinguished career as a public servant includes twenty years in the Rhode Island General Assembly, retiring as Majority Whip; twenty-four years as a police officer, retiring as Captain; and over ten years as a collegiate professor. Kilmartin’s bi-partisan nature and collaborative working style have earned him respect on both sides of the political aisle.

Kilmartin is an active member of his community in Rhode Island and has been a Board Member and Trustee for various non-profits.

In addition to Kilmartin, IGS has also expanded capabilities in Africa with the addition of Meseret Gebre Egziabhr-Niehaus. Specializing in global trade and international business, she brings a wealth of experience relating to textiles, pharmaceuticals, medical products, biotech, and food service. Two of the most rapidly evolving regions of the world economically include Africa and the Caribbean.
