This trend, known as “aging in place,” is an alternative to downsizing or moving to a condo in warmer climate. Our experts will teach you how to tastefully and easily make your surroundings easier to manage and safer as you grow older. From replacing bathtubs, installing safety rails, or widening doors – our Director of Design, Prudence Stoddard, CKD, CAPS, UDCP will discuss the principles and importance of Universal Design, while showcasing specific products and appliances that are being used today. In additon, Linda Bohmbach, ECHMP, Co-Founder and Vice President of Home HealthSmith wil join us to review various types of accessibility equipment available for your living room and/or bedroom including ceiling lifts and various types of transfer aids for those with limited mobility.

Pre-registration is required, space limited. This event is complimentary, however we will be accepting donations for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
