IBM Design Thinking guides groups on how to come up with the answers to our toughest problems, thinking together and working together to get an outcome. This user centered approach enables designers and others to address a wide range of complex business and social issues. More importantly, design thinking does not mean it’s tailored towards individuals with artistic talent, or meant to teach individuals how to be artistic. It’s about how to “think” like a designer, individuals who search for solutions until they have determined the real problem, and even then, instead of solving that problem, they stop to consider a wide range of potential solutions.

The workshop will provide a high level overview of…

  • IBM design thinking fundamental concepts
  • Run-through of a couple design thinking activities

The presenter of this workshop, Dan Xavier, is an  Entrepreneur with a track record building and developing products and go-to-market strategies in the Wearable Technology and Digital spaces. Dan now works for Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI where he is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of creative strategies for all specialty products, including Telemedicine, Wellness solutions, and others.
