The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) is hosting the monthly Rhode Island Breakfast Series event on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, titled A New Industry for America, Pioneered in Rhode Island: Offshore Wind Energy. The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, in Warwick, RI from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM.

SBANE has invited Jeffrey Grybowski, CEO of Deepwater Wind to kick-off the Rhode Island Breakfast Series this season to discuss the 30-megawatt, five-turbine Block Island Wind Farm project, to be the first offshore wind farm in America. This project will create 300+ new jobs in Rhode Island, will lower carbon dioxide emissions by 40,000 tons per year, and is planned to reduce electric rates on Block Island by an estimated 40%. Grybowski leads this project with his background as Chief of Staff to the Governor of the State of Rhode Island and his influence on shaping government policies that support offshore wind in the U.S.

To attend this event, register at www.sbane.org, under “Upcoming Events: Rhode Island Breakfast Series.” A breakfast buffet is included. A New Industry for America, Pioneered in Rhode Island: Offshore Wind Energy is sponsored by Bean Counters, Inc.
