26th Annual 5K Run/Walk-a-Thon to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State

On Saturday, October 25th at Rhode Island College, the Rhode Island Building and Construction Trades Council will hold its 26th Annual 5K Run/Walk-a-Thon to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State. Registration for the walk is free and will commence at 9:00am in parking lot “J”. The event will kick off rain or shine at 10:00am. The walk will take participants through the lovely Rhode Island College campus and the historic Fruit Hill section of North Providence. This year’s event will feature free children’s activities such as face painting, a photo booth and a prize for the best Halloween Costume! Refreshments will also be provided by Uncle Tony’s Pizza and Pasta Restaurant as well as Dunkin Donuts. Rhode Island icon, Tony the Dancing Cop, will lead the Walk alongside Honorary Chair Person, Gene Valicenti of WJAR NBC10 and News Talk Radio 630 WPRO AM.
