D’ALESIO ELECTED PRESIDENT OF ACEC-RHODE ISLAND  

LINCOLN, RI– On June 5, 2018 Joseph D’Alesio, PE was named President of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC-RI). ACEC-RI serves as the voice of Rhode Island’s professional engineering community, representing over 30 independent companies engaged in the design and engineering of transportation, environmental, industrial, energy, land development and other infrastructure projects on behalf of clients in both the public and private sectors. ACEC-RI’s mission is to advance the business, education, community engagement, and overall growth and success of member firms.

Mr. D’Alesio is a Senior Vice President with BETA Group, Inc. and has over four decades of civil engineering experience specializing in the planning and design of wastewater treatment, collection and pumping systems, and construction management. He serves as client manager for some of BETA’s high profile projects with clients such as the Narragansett Bay Commission and municipalities including the City of Framingham and the Town of Brookline. Mr. D’Alesio is primarily responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution of the environmental engineering projects – both water and wastewater.

During his tenure at BETA, Mr. D’Alesiohas built one of the most respected, qualified, and diverse environmental engineering teams in New England, dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. Thegroup’s track record regarding quality, schedule, and cost compliance is reflected by the number of repeat clients they have serviced under his leadership.

Providence, Rhode Island – North Kingstown-based Howes Lubricator worked with Business Succession & Growth Expert Standish Executive Search in Providence to select a new Vice President of Marketing.  A broad national search was conducted over the last several months to identify the ideal candidate for this executive role leading to the hiring of Phil Colacchio of BarringtonColacchio will lead product and marketing strategies for the 98 year old company.

Prior work includes companies such as Newell Rubermaid and ACCO Brands among others. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont.

Julie Grant Promoted to Digital Marketing Manager

Newport (R.I.) April 24, 2018 – Discover Newport, the official destination marketing organization for Newport and Bristol counties, has promoted Julie Grant to Digital Marketing Manager. Grant is responsible for developing content strategy and overall site management on DiscoverNewport.org using CRM and CMS applications; implementing, analyzing and reporting on the organization’s digital and email marketing campaigns, leveraging content to generate optimal SEO and evaluating new data-driven digital technologies to advance Discover Newport’s marketing strategy.

 

“From the time Julie started as an intern here three years ago, she has shown a passion for the industry and an unquenchable thirst for learning,” says Discover Newport’s Vice President of Marketing Kathryn Farrington. “We’re proud to recognize her talents including an in-depth, comprehensive knowledge of our digital platforms and a keen eye for photography and video production, among others. She’s become an integral part of our team.”

Grant is a 2016 graduate of Salve Regina University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business marketing with a double minor in business administration and Global Business and Economics, respectively. While there, she was enrolled in the highly selective Pell Honors Program and volunteered with many organizations throughout Newport County.
