Brett Smiley’s Campaign Ad Makes Huge Splash

PROVIDENCE, RI – Last Friday, Brett Smiley’s campaign for Mayor of Providence aired its first television ad, titled “Man with a Plan.” In just one weekend, the ad has gotten enormous attention, gaining over 22,000 views and attracting the attention of national media outlets like the Huffington Post, the Washington Post, the Advocate, the Daily Kos and more.

Smiley’s campaign ad has received more YouTube hits than every television ad of every candidate for mayor and governor combined:

Michael Solomon’s ad has 880 views, Gina Raimondo’s two ads have a combined 3,997 views, Angel Taveras’ ad has 910 views, Clay Pell’s ad has 1,400 views, Allan Fung’s two ads have a combined 4,171 views, and Ken Block’s two ads have a combined 2,314 views. Brett Smiley’s ad has 22,621 views.
