BankNewport Announces Two Business Banking Group Appointments

NEWPORT, RI – BankNewport has expanded its Business Banking Group with the hiring of two new vice presidents, business development officers – Keith A. Lavimodiere and Nina L. Luchka:

Keith A. Lavimodiere will be responsible for business development, commercial loan production, cross sales origination and cross team collaboration in the Cranston, East Providence, Johnston, and greater Providence County market.

Lavimodiere comes to BankNewport from the Washington Trust where he served as vice president, business development officer in the northern Rhode Island market.  He was formerly a retail banking officer and branch manager of the Providence office of Bank Rhode Island.

Keith is a member of the board of Cranston Economic Development, a member of the board of the Rotary Club of Cranston, and is an active volunteer with Cranston League for Cranston’s Future (CLCF).  Keith is a resident of Cranston, Rhode Island.

Nina L. Luchka will be responsible for business development, commercial loan production, cross sales origination and cross team collaboration in the Narragansett, South Kingstown, Richmond, Block Island, and greater Washington County market.

With over 25 years in the banking industry, Luchka comes to BankNewport from the Washington Trust Company where she held various positions, most recently serving as vice president and branch manager of the Wakefield office.

Luchka earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College.  She is a member of the board of the Southern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, where she currently serves as vice chair; a member of the board of the South County Growers Association, where she currently serves as president; a member of the Dennis T. Tefft Memorial Foundation; and a member of South County Executives.  Nina is a resident of Charlestown, Rhode Island.
