Aspen Aerogels Takes to the Airwaves to Fill New Positions in East Providence

EAST  PROVIDENCE, RI – Aspen Aerogels, a leading energy technology company, is expanding quickly and looking to fill over 20 new job openings.  The company recently placed ads on local radio to let residents know about the available opening.  Its East Providence facility is currently undergoing major construction to increase its production capacity by 25 percent and will require a larger workforce.

The company is now hiring Production and Process Operators as well as Senior Process Engineers.  Jobs for local contractors, steel workers, concrete workers and machine operators have also been created as part of the expansion.

“We’ve been operating at our East Providence facility for more than five years and look forward to the positive impact this project has on Rhode Island,” said Melissa Zerek, Human Resources Manager at Aspen Aerogels.  “Throughout the years we have had some of the brightest and hardest working people from East Providence, greater Rhode Island and surrounding communities work at Aspen.  To have an opportunity to bring more of them on board is exciting for us and for the community.”

Positions are available for a variety of shifts at the manufacturing facility with required overtime as needed.  Employees usually work rotating days, with four days on and four days off from 6 am to 6 pm.

Benefits packages include health, dental, vision and paid vacation from day one of employment.

Aspen Aerogels, an equal opportunity employer, encourages those from East Providence and surrounding areas who have experience operating machinery in a continuous manufacturing environment, chemical manufacturing and/or non-woven textiles to apply.
