About Us

The Rhode Island Small Business Journal (RISBJ) is reinventing print media.

As our state’s premier business resource publication, RISBJ is looking to change the landscape for local small business in our economy. As a company, our mission is to provide guidance and resources to small businesses throughout our state, helping to spark economic growth. We will do this by distributing a free monthly publication, developing workshops presented by local entrepreneurial leaders and connecting people through networking events, grand openings and discussion forums.

Each month, our publication will feature some of Rhode Island’s top business experts writing on a wide variety of topics. From tips on investing, taxes and payroll to the latest marketing trends and sales tactics, every issue of RISBJ will be filled with valuable content that speaks to the needs of every small business owner.

In addition to our list of articles from our regular contributors, RISBJ will feature a city or town, a Chamber of Commerce and a non-profit organization each month. Each feature will highlight all of the positive aspects of the community and highlight growth of businesses within those communities.  We will not be reporting unemployment numbers, layoffs or scandals. We are 100% positive business 100% of the time.

For advertisers, RISBJ has many cost effective ways to help market your business. While most media channels simply provide you with an ad, RISBJ becomes a partner in your business and provides you with an integrated marketing program. We listen to your needs, understand your market and put together a plan – not an ad. We effectively combine print media with radio, web, social media and email. At the end of each month, all RISBJ advertisers receive comprehensive reports highlighting the effectiveness of their campaign online. We are results driven and want to be held to a higher standard. Please contact us for rates or with any questions you may have.

The Rhode Island Small Business Journal is dedicated to entrepreneurial success.
